Oh You Got A Crew,Huh?

I remember growing up and my parents frowning upon hanging out with the “wrong kids.” They couldn’t make me do anything or influence me to change my morals. I mean we were just kids. What I didn’t realize is the wrap that some people get for being a trouble maker will automatically make people associate you with that trouble. Some times kids are just shitty people. You see the blame game all the time. Kid gets into trouble and parents think their little angel is perfect so it must have been the others.

As we grow older not only does your crew effect others perception of you, but I truly believe that it directly effects your state of mind, body and I will go as far to say income. You might have heard the saying you are the sum of your five closest friends. I believe that because I’ve lived both sides. If you are an alcoholic or addict and you want to see who your real friends are, get sober. Then surround yourself with people who pull you to their level. Even a rising tide lifts all ships.I am fortunate to have a group of friends that stuck by me through good and bad. I’m proud to say that each one of them are successful and in return have pulled me up.

If you want happiness it’s your choice. You can’t complain how bad life sucks when your hang out with a bunch of people who bring you down to their level. You become a product of your environment. Break out of it and the possibilities are endless. Even leaders have leaders. Just recently I have gotten a new boss at work. Just when I think I have figured it out he is slowly opening my mind to see every perspective in 360 degrees. Why do people react the way they do? Who are they? What do they do? When they react what causes them to do so? I could go on and on. This has slowed my reaction into a strategic action in response. Not always do I react correctly , but he’s bringing me to his level. Eventually my thought process will happen as a reflex. These are the type of people you need to surround Yourself with.

Figure out where you want to be and create an environment that will pull you in that direction.

Love you all
